Two-on-One Online Workshop

«ZWEI GEGEN EINS Starke Entscheider auf dem Platz» (Two on one – Strong decision-maker on the pitch) – this is the title of the first online workshop series that Bernhard Peters and Andreas Schumacher launched at the beginning of this year.

Both experts agree – the core of soccer is the two-on-one situations. If you want to score goals, you have to make the right decisions in these situations and train them accordingly. How such training can look like, is what they explained to the approximately 70 participants of their three-part webinar series. As an introduction, the basic ideas and the significance of two-on-one situations were presented on February 24 and directly put into practice with the help of vivid video examples.

In the second part on 08.03. the idea of the training ladder was explained detailedly. According to Bernhard Peters, the idea is to pick up situations from the game and train them accordingly in different phases. The last topic «Our offensive game idea» on 17.03. was particularly practical. True to the motto «The best exercises are written by the game», the participants were taken directly onto the digital pitch by illustrative video contributions. «We always want to train close to the game!» were Schumacher’s opening words. «What that means, we would like to explain to you today. We will use authentic game situations to show you what training for the individual levels of game actions, game situations, game phases, and game form looks like in practice.»

Instead of monotonous presentations, the participants were offered a vivid mix of in-game video sequences and animated tactical presentations. Anyone who still had questions or comments after the 60 minutes of input was able to discuss these directly with the two experts live in the chat. On top of that, after successful participation in all three webinars, the participants received an exclusive TWO ON ONE coaching certificate as a reward for their newly acquired expert knowledge.

The final conclusion to the online series was clear – a well-rounded event – or as one participant put it in the final feedback survey: «Great seminar! I was able to take away some great impulses for my own training. Especially the video contributions and animations helped me to quickly put the theory into practice. Keep it up!».

It should definitely continue! In analog and digital workshops, BPTC will continue to provide practical content to enhance the skills of top executives in sports and business, as well as experts and trainers. «How can I motivate my team to top performance? Shape and lead it? How do I deal with successes and failures?» or «How do I make my training more efficient? How do attackers learn to make the right decision in the game?».

These are the questions that the experts from the BPTC network want to address in the future. If this appeals to you, feel free to follow BPTC via our social media channels or directly contact us at info@bptc-sports.com.
